Nicole has been working in the field of social justice for over 10 years, and holds dual MA degrees in Psychology and International Human Rights. Both in her personal, as well as professional life, Nicole strives to promote social equity by creating policy and programs that can benefit those with insufficient access to education, opportunity, or justice. Her work is grounded in the Capabilities Approach to human development.
Nicole entered the HIV/AIDS field in 2004, specializing in women’s issues. She has since served as a social researcher in South Africa, Mental Health Counselor in Ghana, and Prevention Specialist and High Risk Education Manager in New York. In her current role, Nicole coordinates programming for PLWHA in Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, Columbia, Yamhill, and Clark counties, with a special focus on women and children. She is grateful to work for an organization that provides holistic healthcare around the bio/psycho/social/spiritual needs of clients.
