Quest Center's annual Community Day is a family friendly event that celebrates the collective achievements our community have made to live well. This block-party style event is free to all, with the goal of spreading awareness of Quest’s services while having some fun in the process!

National Trans HIV Testing Day at Oaks Park Gay Skate Night
The time has come again to skate on into National Trans HIV Testing Day at Oaks Park Roller Rink! The annual event celebrates our LGBTQIA2S+ communities and includes FREE admission into Gay Skate Night from 7:00-9:30 p.m. on Monday, April 15, and cost-free, confidential HIV and STI testing provided by Multnomah County for anyone interested. Quest will be tabling at this event put on by Rayus Radiology
"We really want to make this a community event and focus on the safe space being provided for those individuals who may have some distrust of healthcare, those who have been putting off their screening exams, those who are newly qualified for these health exams, as well as those that are looking to be proactive in their health journey."
They will offer the following screening exams at their Slabtown location day of.

In collaboration with PDX Saints Love, Portland Street Response, Cultivate Initiatives, and many other local community based organizations. We will have showers, haircuts, hygiene, clothing, ID replacement vouchers, shelter and detox referrals, and a hot meal every single Monday from 10am-2pm right in the upper east parking lot of Lents Park.
As the season moves through, our Community Wellness Fairs will be added to, bringing amazing resources like Care Oregon and Trillium Community Health Plan with assistance for OHP, fresh produce from Walk4Change, and a hot breakfast served on site, prepared by Our Streets PDX and many other community based organizations.
We will have Community Health Workers and Peer Support Specialists on site to connect individuals with much need resources in their local community.
These events are open to the public and prioritizing individuals and families living unhoused, BIPOC communities, resource insecure families, and immigrant individuals and families.

Oregon Recovers Summit
March 15th-17th is the 6th annual Recovery Community Summit
This year, the program includes a broad spectrum of recovery community members from every corner of the state to talk about harm reduction, housing, proposed changes to Measure 110, work-life balance, professional development, art, and many more fascinating topics.
This year will continue to build on the theme "Unity Within Community".
Quest Center and Miracles Club will be presenting a panel at the Recovery Summit called "The Resilience Initiative: A Community Response to Generational Trauma"

International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.

IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organization specific.

Join hundreds of people in recovery—and their friends and family—as we raise our voices so that Oregon’s elected leaders hear our rally for change. We believe that ALL Oregonians should have access to safe, effective and immediate treatment and recovery support. In order to achieve this goal, we must transform Oregon’s fractured and incomplete addiction recovery system into a recovery-based, continuum-of-care that treats addiction as a chronic disease that requires a lifetime of attention.

AIDS Memorial Quilt at OMSI
The AIDS Memorial Quilt was conceived in 1985 by human rights activist Cleve Jones as a way of memorializing those who had died of AIDS, helping others understand the devastating impact of the disease, and documenting the many lives he feared history would forget. The first panel was created by Jones in memory of his friend Marvin Feldman.
Today, the AIDS Memorial Quilt is an epic 54-ton tapestry that includes nearly 50,000 panels dedicated to more than 110,000 individuals. It is the premiere symbol of the AIDS pandemic, a living memorial to a generation lost to AIDS, and an important HIV prevention education tool. With hundreds of thousands of people contributing their talents to making the memorial panels, the Quilt is considered the largest community arts project in history.
Through a 20-year partnership with AIDS Quilt Touch, the Quilt can be seen in its entirety and the panels made in honor of loved ones seen online as part of the Interactive AIDS Quilt so millions of people around the world can experience its powerful stories.

World AIDS Day at Friendly House
Join us to promote awareness of HIV and AIDS, learn about support in our community and honor those we have lost. Listen to powerful readings from the December First Writers Group and talk with local organizations about the work they do to support Oregon’s HIV+/AIDS community. There will be snacks, drinks and a free raffle for attendees. All ages and allies are welcome.
