Testing information

We are not performing blood draws onsite at this time.

A blood draw with a follow up visit is required at least once a year for continued management of hormone and thyroid prescriptions. Once you run out of refills, our office will assess if you are due for labs. If you have not had labs drawn in a year, a lab order will be emailed to you, and a 2 month refill will be sent to give you time to complete your labs and book your follow up.

Blood draw requests outside of annual testing: If you feel that you may need an adjustment to your prescription for any reason, please contact us at ma@quest-center.org and provide information on what symptoms you are experiencing. A blood draw request will be sent to your prescriber. Please allow 3 business days for your request to be processed. If your provider does not approve the request, you will be asked to make an appointment first, to discuss issues before ordering labs. If your prescriber approves the request, they will order labs, and a lab order will be emailed to you.

Lab locations:

We are no longer providing blood draws at Quest Center for Integrative Health.

Providence labs: (accepts multiple insurance plans, not Kaiser)

Legacy labs: (accepts multiple insurance plans, not Kaiser)

Kaiser labs: Preferred for Kaiser plans (accepts Kaiser plans only)

*Medicare does not recognize ND medical providers, so they will not cover any lab orders requested from a Naturopath. Please pre-pay and go to a Quest Diagnostics Service Center.

Lab orders:

Lab orders are automatically sent to Quest Diagnostics Service centers, so if you choose to go there, you do not need to take a lab order with you. You can keep your emailed copy of the lab order for your reference.

If you want to go to a hospital lab or another lab that is not Quest Diagnostics, you can then print your lab order to take with you. A lab order can also be faxed to the lab of your choice, so please let us know via ma@quest-center.org. Lab orders will designate that your insurance should be billed, unless you specify that you would like to pre-pay out of pocket. Please see below for pre-pay information.

Results:

Please schedule a follow up appointment 1-2 weeks after your blood draw.

Quest Diagnostics lab results are automatically sent to us, and are available for you to review via their portal: https://www.questdiagnostics.com/home/patients/getting-results/how-to-get-results/

We can also email you results at your request. Please note: Hospitals do not always automatically send lab results to us. Please let us know when results are in your patient portal, so that we can request a copy.
